Vans has always kept its signature lineup lean: Authentic, Old Skool, Sk8-Hi, Slip-On — barely changed in decades. So when word got out about the Vans Premium LX Style 152, the first reaction wasn't "another new shoe," but rather "where did this come from?"
The answer: 1982. This shoe traces back to Vans' early Serio running line, a corner of the archive most people wouldn't associate with the skate brand. "Serio" is woven right onto the tongue — not a newly designed flourish, but a direct callback to that history. Those in the know will clock it instantly; everyone else will just see it as a nice detail.
The upper combines lightweight nylon panels with suede overlays at the toe, eyestays, and heel counter, finished in a Chili Pepper and Bordeaux Red colorblock. The overall shape leans toward a sleek, elongated running silhouette — a far cry from the usual bulk of Vans' skate shoes.
The Vans Premium LX Style 152 is expected to release in Summer 2026. Pricing and an exact release date have yet to be announced.
