Nike doesn't do anime collabs often, and when it does, it keeps things tight-lipped. While Puma has turned various anime IP sneakers into a regular fixture in its lineup, Nike didn't budge until 2025, when it finally rolled out a limited Yu-Gi-Oh! collaboration. Now it's One Piece's turn — marking only the brand's second real dive into anime crossovers in the past two years, this time partnering with Eiichiro Oda's 28-year-long pirate epic.
The teaser image posted on Nike Japan's official social account shows no sneakers, no apparel — just a Poneglyph etched with the Nike Swoosh, paired with the words "ROMANCE DAWN." Anyone familiar with the source material will immediately clock the reference: it's the title of One Piece's opening arc, the very beginning of Luffy's voyage and the prologue to the entire saga.
No specific products have been revealed yet — silhouette, apparel, and accessories are all still up in the air. The teaser has also only surfaced on Nike Japan's regional account, leaving it unclear whether this collaboration will roll out globally or stay exclusive to Japan. Given Nike's famously selective approach to IP collaborations, this stone tablet confirms just one thing for certain — the partnership is real. Everything else remains a riddle.
