This isn't your standard safe-bet colorway refresh; it's a material-first move. The texture and sheen of the fur give the shoe a shaggier presence than your typical AF1, trading in some of that classic sneaker polish for something a little wilder.
Officially named "Orange Pony Hair," the colorway carries the designation Campfire Orange/Sunset/White. The shoe keeps its familiar low-top silhouette and layered panel construction, but orange pony hair now takes over select leather sections, adding a tactile twist to the classic shape. This isn't exactly new territory — the AF1 has dabbled in suede, patent leather, even reflective fabric before — but pony hair hits differently. From a distance it reads as a colorway; up close it's all about the material. Both readings stack on top of each other in the same shoe.
