A wood-grain surfboard strapped to the roof rack — that image says more than any campaign copy ever could. This time, Louis Vuitton isn't just slapping Monogram print on a car body and calling it a day. They're actually packing the entire idea of "travel" into a 911.

Louis Vuitton and California restoration workshop Singer have announced a collaboration — the first crossover project in either brand's history. Built around LV's "Art of Travel" concept, the partnership brings two reimagined classic 911s: the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, and the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo. Each car represents a different way of traveling, and the accompanying luggage collection is custom-built to match the actual dimensions of each car's cabin and trunk.

Classic: A Mountain-and-Sea Take on Skiing and Surfing

This hardtop coupe is built on a Porsche Type 964 chassis with a carbon-fiber body, finished in a two-tone paint job that revives LV archive colors Saffron and cobalt blue. Power comes from the original air-cooled naturally aspirated flat-six engine paired with a six-speed manual. A custom-fitted roof rack holds LV's bespoke ski gear and a marquetry-crafted wooden surfboard — one car, kitted out for both mountain and sea.

The interior is wrapped in VVT-style leather, with vents stamped in the monogram pattern and seat surfaces finished in malletage embossing. The metal switches are hand-plated in rhodium. Mounted on the dashboard is a removable mechanical clock crafted by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton in Switzerland, its cobalt blue and bright orange dial colors echoing the car's own palette.

Classic Turbo: Ghesquière's Open-Top Nautical Vision

The convertible version was helmed by LV womenswear artistic director Nicolas Ghesquière, with a design direction that leans nautical. The body is finished in Calcaire Lutétien white with gold accents, powered by a twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, and finished off with the classic whale tail spoiler. Inside the rear-opening trunk, faux-teak paneling brings the material language of a yacht deck straight into the cabin.

Both cars come with their own dedicated capsule collection: custom-tailored racing suits, leather jackets, carbon-fiber and fiberglass helmets, a Tambour Automatic watch, and a multi-piece luggage set built to fit each car's specific cabin and trunk dimensions. No word yet on pricing, production numbers, or availability.
