Fruit of the Loom's T-Shirt Cotton, Vacuum-Packed Into a Full Suit

A suit compressed into a clear plastic bag stamped with the Fruit of the Loom logo — the kind of packaging normally reserved for multipacks of T-shirts or underwear. Open it up, though, and inside is a double-breasted suit jacket paired with pleated wide-leg trousers, cut from 12oz heavyweight cotton — the exact same fabric as the basic T-shirts you'd throw on any given day.

The mind behind this contrast is Keiji Kaneko, a fashion buyer by trade who also serves as creative director of vintage shop Boutique and runs his own menswear label, Foundour. Back in February, he dropped the first version of the "FRUIT ATHLETIC FORMAL SUIT," and it sold out fast on the strength of the sheer novelty — underwear-grade cotton turned formalwear, wrapped in a poly bag for maximum visual shock. But what made people stick around wasn't the gimmick — it was that the fit and fabric actually held their own.

For the second drop, Kaneko expanded the lineup: alongside the original double-breasted cut, there's now a single-breasted version, and the colorway range grows from black and navy to include a new brown option. The core concept stays the same — a formal suit built from T-shirt-grade cotton — but the fit and color choices now go wider.
