The knockoff came first, and now the real deal is finally here. Jordan Brand dropped the "Red Oreo" back in 2022, swapping the classic black-and-white for a red-and-black scheme to tide fans over for a while. But that was never the real flavor. Sixteen years later, the original black-and-white Air Jordan 6 that gave "Oreo" its name is finally coming back to shelves.
The shoe officially drops on August 8 via Nike's SNKRS app, releasing across the full family size run so both adults and kids can rock the same pair. Adult sizes are priced at $215. Compared to the scattered variants released over the past few years, this time the original colorway is coming back exactly as it was.
The Air Jordan 6 has already had plenty going on this year — the classic "Infrared" 6 retro, a new Sashiko-stitched version, and even the legendary "Bin 23" finally surfacing. Among this lineup, the "Oreo" fills in the last piece — not a new design, but a return of the instantly recognizable black-and-white classic from 16 years ago, finally back in consumers' hands.
