Say HOKA and most people picture an exaggerated, stacked midsole. The Huaka Pro "Triple Black" flips that script entirely — the whole shoe is pressed into a single shade of deep black, with the midsole deliberately slimmed down for a more grounded feel. It's a completely different language from the brand's signature maximalist cushioning.
The real story here is the upper. A narrowed, semi-transparent polyester upper sits over a sublimation-printed HOKA logo underneath, so the graphic fades in and out depending on the angle of light — the one detail that actually "moves" within an otherwise all-black colorway. The toe box gets reinforced with suede overlays for added durability, molded eyelets handle the lacing, and a pull-tab at the heel makes for easy on-off — functional touches that didn't get sacrificed just because the shoe went stealth.
As for the midsole, it keeps the original Huaka last, with a blacked-out EVA foam stack sitting noticeably lower than the brand's usual maximalist builds — built to move faster and stay closer to the ground, a nod back to this model's original running roots. A durable rubber outsole handles everyday street wear, keeping the running shoe comfortable for daily use.
