Vapor belongs on the tennis court, Posite belongs on the hardwood. The two have always stayed in their own lanes—but this time Nike is grafting the Foamposite's upper structure directly onto the Vapor's silhouette, creating a hybrid that looks like a sneaker but carries the skeletal language of the original 1997 Posite.
The colorway making its debut is "Habanero Red," splashing the upper in Habanero Red, White, and Black under style code AO8760-600. The seamless, molded Foamposite upper paired with the Vapor's lower-cut, foot-hugging shape means two eras of Nike footwear are stacked into one silhouette—visually more of a talking point than a simple recolor.
Release details remain scarce for now: it drops August 17, 2026 on Nike.com and select retailers for $170. A companion colorway, "Metallic Red Bronze," is set to release two days earlier on August 15 at the same $170 price point—effectively rolling out two colorways of the same silhouette back-to-back to test the waters.
Further details on sizing, material breakdown, and whether it's a limited release have yet to be confirmed by Nike. We'll update as more information becomes available.
