Same shoe, two different shades of gray, and yet two completely different moods — that's probably the most interesting thing about this latest KICKS LAB-exclusive release of the Mizuno Wave Prophecy LS. Both the "Light Grey" and "Charcoal" colorways picked up by the Tokyo select shop are built on the Prophecy family's signature full-length Infinity Wave midsole — the sculptural cushioning-and-stability structure that's remained the core design language of the series since day one.
The "Light Grey" pair, officially dubbed Light Gray/Black/Lime Green, builds its upper on fine mesh, then layers on dynamically segmented synthetic overlays, with metallic sheen flashing at the panel breaks that gives Prophecy's signature intricate paneling an extra sense of depth. The "Charcoal" colorway, in Charcoal/Silver/Blue, heads in the opposite direction entirely: matte materials, darker tones, and lower contrast that read as more low-key and reserved — the same silhouette, but a completely different energy. Both pairs retain the Mizuno Runbird logo on the lateral and medial sides, with lines that flow into the shoe's overall silhouette without disrupting its aerodynamic profile.
