The teaser clip Ronnie Fieg dropped on social media a while back looked like just another XT-6 colorway. Turns out that's not the case — Kith and Salomon have cooked up an entirely new last this time, called the XT-EVO. It keeps the familiar rubber outsole from the XT-6, but the upper's been completely redesigned.
The biggest change is up front on the lower half: a hefty piece of TPU armor wraps from the heel all the way to the toe, cut with sharp, mold-like lines, with diamond-pattern detailing hidden underneath. The tongue and lacing setup have been shifted toward the midfoot, paired with Salomon's signature quick-pull lacing system, giving the whole shoe more of a trail-gear feel than the XT-6 — this isn't just a cosmetic refresh.
The shoe drops in two colorways: a multi-panel "Black/Yellow/Red/Blue" mix and a cooler-toned "Grey/Purple" option — one warm, one cool, together showing off the range of what this new XT-EVO last can do.
The last time Kith and Salomon rolled out a completely new silhouette was the XT-Voyager back in late 2024, making the XT-EVO the second standalone model to come out of the partnership, rather than another colorway built on the existing XT-6 or XT-4. Worth keeping in mind: if you've been collecting Kith x Salomon colorways all along, the XT-EVO is a shoe you'll need to get acquainted with from scratch.
Both colorways release August 7, 2026 via the Kith App, website, and Kith retail stores, as part of the brand's &Kin Fall 2026 collection. Pricing and sizing information have not been provided.
