The side stitching, the Notched Ankle Patch, and the cotton laces are all rebuilt to match the original 1976 specs. This isn't your typical "collab redesign" — it's closer to a research-driven reproduction: first confirming exactly what the shoe looked like back then, then recreating it one-to-one.
The upper uses washed-out black canvas, paired with an off-white rubber trim that carries a vintage feel — the aged look is baked directly into the materials rather than layered on through prints or slogans. The heel tag reads "MADE FOR BEAMS," clearly stating what this shoe actually is: not Converse lending BEAMS its name for a promo, but BEAMS putting its own birth year back on its feet.
